A WoW instance guide was my friend when I began raiding in this game. Why I’ve been using a WoW guide? Well, because on my first raiding runs I failed miserably and the other players laughed at me and kicked me out of the team. To avoid this to happen again, I started to learn everything about the WoW raiding content. So, to help the other WoW raiding beginners, I’m going to share a few general strategies this guide has taught me, and some important things to know on raiding.

WoW Instance Guide - 10-Man General Setup. For any 10-man to work out properly, you basically need 2 tanks, 2 healers and the rest, damage dealers. However, the DPS classes must be ranged and melee, otherwise the group might fail to kill certain bosses or complete certain encounter. In a 10-man it’s usually best to have 4 ranged DPS and 2 melee DPS. This way, things should go smoothly.

WoW Instance Guide - 25-Man Raid Group Configuration. Any 25-man raid is usually ran with at 3 tanks and at least 5 healers. Depending on the healing power your healers have, your raiding team can have one more instead of a DPS. Damage dealers must be a equally split in ranged and melee groups. Also, at least a shaman is a must in a 25-man run, because the Bloodlust or Heroism is a considerable DPS burst that any for any raid group. Also, make sure that at least a few of the damage dealers have powerful AoE skills for a faster progress.

WoW Instance Guide - Raiding Mistakes That Players Commonly Make

1. Using the wrong abilities and combos. That is maybe the most common mistake that a player can make in PvE. Not using your cooldowns and abilities in the right order is a serious flaw that must be corrected if you want to be a good raiding player.

2. Not using consumables. That might even get you kicked out of a raid group. Consumables are very important in raids as they offer additional buffs which will considerably increase the effectiveness of your team.
