The engineering profession can also make explosives that are are in high demand from other players.

A Small Pet Vendor is another way to earn gold. Even though they do not help out on quests or leveling up small pets are in very high demand by other players. Apparently it is very cool to have a small pet. collect as many as you can and then sell them in the auction house for a nice profit.

Instance runs are another way to earn World of Warcraft gold. There are many instances in the game to farm green items. They can be sold in the auction house or disenchanted for the items that made them.
