Skinning has proven time and time again to be a top quality money maker for both beginners and veterans. A heap of mobs are ready to be skinned in almost every area in WoW.

Both Horde and Alliance need the Scales, Hides, and Leather that is produced with the Skinning profession. These materials are in consistent high demand.

Gold Secret Number 2 - Alchemy

Alchemy is the most profitable of all the trade professions. It has a sustainable, long term yield potential far greater than that of Leatherworking, Tailoring, Blacksmithing and Engineering. While you will be able to make some nice items using these professions, long term Alchemy will always come out on top.

The reason that Alchemy is more profitable than the other professions mentioned above is that using Alchemy you’ll be able to heal damage, raise ability scores and much more. Nice weapons and armor is useful but players who use these will still need a lot of potions to get by.

You’ll be able to make some quick money through cooking high grade foods. Especially foods that players use to buff themselves.

The other great thing about cooking is that the products created by cooking are consumed which means they are always needed.

Through buying and selling limited supply items (typical examples are rare recipes) in the Auction House, you will be able to get high profit returns in a very short time.

By using this method to earn gold, you can make massive profits. It’s not uncommon for me to make over 600% profit on some rare items!
